Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Aspirant Education Sansthan (AES)
Last updated: 8th October 2026

1. Purpose and Scope

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how we handle cancellations, refunds and payment problems for donations and other payments made to Aspirant Education Sansthan ("Aspirant Education", "AES", "we", "us" or "our") through www.aspiranteducation.org and our payment partners, Razorpay, Donorbox and PayPal (the "Payment Partners").

We want every supporter to give with confidence. If something goes wrong with your payment, we will review it fairly and help you resolve it quickly.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Donations Are Voluntary

All donations made to Aspirant Education are voluntary contributions towards our charitable programmes:

  • Skill development for underprivileged youth
  • Women empowerment, including our Nari Shakti programme
  • Tribal education
  • Food relief, including our Mission Zero Hunger programme

Donations are put to work quickly. They fund training, food distribution, learning material and the running of our programmes. Once a donation has been used for these purposes, it cannot be reclaimed. For this reason, donations are generally non-refundable.

At the same time, we recognise that genuine mistakes and technical errors happen, and we are glad to correct them, as set out below.

3. When a Refund Is Possible

We will gladly consider a refund in the following situations:

SituationExample
Duplicate transactionThe same donation was charged more than once, for example because you clicked "Pay" twice or the page refreshed
Incorrect amount entered by mistakeYou donated ₹50,000 instead of ₹5,000, or typed an extra zero
Technical errorThe amount was debited from your account, but the transaction failed or no confirmation was generated
Unauthorised transactionA payment was made using your card, account or UPI without your permission, reported promptly

Each request is reviewed individually. We may ask for supporting information before approving a refund.

4. When a Refund Is Not Possible

We are generally unable to offer a refund in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after a donation has been successfully made and confirmed
  • Requests made after the 7-day period (see Section 5), unless the case involves fraud or an unauthorised transaction that we could not reasonably have known about earlier
  • A donation made knowingly to a particular campaign or programme, where the funds have already been used for it
  • Tax-related reasons, such as not receiving the deduction you expected. Eligibility for tax benefits depends on your own tax situation and applicable law
  • Currency conversion differences, bank charges and payment-gateway charges applied by your bank, card issuer or the Payment Partner
  • Payments made through a wrong or unauthorised link, or to a person or account other than the official Aspirant Education payment pages

5. How to Request a Refund

Step 1: Write to us within 7 days of the transaction at Help@aspiranteducation.org.

Step 2: Include these details so that we can find your payment quickly:

  • Your full name
  • The email address and phone number used for the donation
  • The date and amount of the donation
  • The transaction ID / payment reference number
  • The payment method used (card, net banking, UPI, PayPal and so on)
  • A screenshot or bank statement showing the debit, if available
  • A short reason for your request, and the correct amount if you entered a wrong one

Please use the subject line "Refund Request: [Your Name]".

Step 3: We review. We will acknowledge your email within [2 working days], verify the transaction with our payment records and the Payment Partner, and tell you our decision within [5 working days] of receiving all the details. We may contact you if we need more information.

6. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the donation. We cannot refund to a different account, card or UPI ID.
  • Refunds are usually completed within 7 to 10 business days of approval. The exact time depends on your bank, card issuer and the Payment Partner, so it may vary.
  • You will receive a confirmation from us once the refund has been initiated.
  • If the refund does not appear in your account after 10 business days, please contact your bank with the refund reference and write to us, and we will help trace it.

6.1 Failed Transactions

If your payment was debited but the donation failed, the amount is usually reversed automatically by the bank or Payment Partner within the time stated by them, commonly 5 to 7 business days. If you have not received the amount after that period, please write to us with the details above.

6.2 International Payments (PayPal and Others)

For donations made in foreign currency or through PayPal, the refund will be made in the original currency and payment method. The amount you receive may differ slightly because of exchange rates, and some fees charged by the Payment Partner or your bank may not be refundable.

7. 80G Receipts and Tax Documents

  • If an 80G receipt has already been issued for a donation that is later refunded, that receipt is cancelled from the date of the refund, and you must not claim a tax deduction for the refunded amount.
  • We may ask you to return or confirm the cancellation of the receipt.
  • If you claimed a deduction before the refund, please inform your tax adviser.

8. Cancellation of Recurring or Monthly Donations

If you have chosen recurring or monthly giving through our Payment Partners:

  • You may cancel at any time, either through your Payment Partner account or by writing to Help@aspiranteducation.org.
  • Please give us your name, email and the reference of the recurring donation.
  • Cancellation stops future instalments. It may take up to [5 business days] to take effect, depending on the Payment Partner, so please write to us in advance of the next payment date.
  • Instalments that have already been paid follow the refund rules above. In particular, a request for an unauthorised or wrongly debited instalment must be made within 7 days of that instalment.

9. Corporate and CSR Contributions

Contributions made by companies, including under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), are governed by the written agreement or MoU between the company and Aspirant Education. Cancellation, refund, return of unutilised funds and reporting for such contributions follow the terms of that agreement, and not this Policy.

10. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a payment, we kindly ask you to contact us first, so that we can solve it quickly and avoid unnecessary delays and costs.

If you raise a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer, we will cooperate and provide the required records. Where a dispute is found to be invalid, for example if a valid, authorised donation was made, we reserve the right to contest it.

11. Fraud and Misuse

We take payment security seriously. If we find that a donation was made through fraud, with stolen credentials, or in breach of law, we may refuse it, reverse it and report it to the authorities. If you believe your payment details have been misused, please tell your bank immediately and write to us at once.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the revised "Last updated" date. Changes apply to donations made after the update.
