Aspirant Education: Where Every Skill Becomes a Future

Aspirant Education Sansthan (AES) is an NSDC / Skill India associated non-profit with one belief at its heart: skilling is enabling dreams and transforming lives.

It Started with One Question

Years ago, a young professor, Dr. Chhitiz Kumar, met a boy on the street. He asked him a simple question: "Why don't you learn a skill so you can earn?"

The boy looked at him and said, "Nobody ever asked me this question, so I never thought about it. And I don't have any money."

That answer stayed with Dr. Chhitiz. He arranged the boy's admission to a training centre in Kota.

One year later, at a gathering at Chokhi Dhani, a young waiter walked up to him, eyes wet and smile wide. "This job would not have been possible without your help," he said. It was the same boy. Today he is a senior waiter, and he dreams of becoming a manager.

That day, Dr. Chhitiz understood something that would shape his life: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Sometimes all it takes is one person who asks the right question.

From One Boy to 2,60,000+ Lives

In 2007, Dr. Chhitiz and a group of like-minded friends turned that realisation into a small skill-development centre in Ajmer, Rajasthan. There was no big funding and no grand plan, only the conviction that no young person should be left behind for lack of a chance.

Today, that small centre has grown into a network of 320+ training centres across 12 states. More than 2,60,000 people have been trained and certified, working with partners such as NSDC, RSLDC, NABARD, IBM SkillsBuild, UNICEF, Infosys and Standard Chartered.

The Challenge We Take On

Millions of young people and women in India's slums, villages and tribal areas never get the chance to fulfil their potential. Children leave school early to work. Families go hungry. Many young people have the energy and the will, but no one to show them the way.

We do not believe these communities need charity. They need opportunity, and once they have it, they build their own futures.

What We Do

• Skill Development: Free, industry-aligned training for underprivileged youth, in courses from computer hardware, mobile repair and beauty to healthcare assistance and sewing, leading to jobs or self-employment
•  
• Women Empowerment: Through our Nari Shakti programme, women gain skills, confidence and financial independence. When a woman is educated, a whole generation is educated.
• Tribal Education: Bringing schooling and earning opportunities to places that government schemes often do not reach
• Food Relief: Our Mission Zero Hunger brings nutrition and relief to families in urban slums and rural areas

How We Create Change

Every learner goes through the same journey: Preparation → Mobilisation → Training → Assessment → Support. We prepare the centre, find the right candidates in the community, train them for 3 to 6 months, certify them with nationally recognised credentials, and then help them find jobs or start their own business.

We also build the skills that matter in any career: teamwork, communication and problem-solving.

Our Vision

To touch the lives of people by giving them earning solutions, and to build a skilled, self-reliant India where:

• every young person has the chance to learn and earn,
• no child loses their childhood to labour,
• tribal communities have access to education,
• and women stand strong as the pillars of their families.

By 2028, we aim to grow to 500+ centres across 20 states.
